Kapsaret Member of Parliament Oscar Sudi has launched a scathing attack on DCI boss George Kinoti, over what he terms as “being used by cartels”.
According to the vocal lawmaker, there is a cartel that is looking into blocking Deputy President (DP) William Ruto’s presidential ambition, and they are using the Director of Criminal Investigations (DCI) George Kinoti.
Speaking to the press on Tuesday, November 24, Sudi also said that lawyer Paul Gicheru’s surrender to the International Criminal Court in the Netherlands is also part of the scheme to fix Ruto ahead of the 2022 polls.
Oscar Sudi’s remarks come just a day after DCI Kinoti announced that the government will be reviving the cases of the 2007/2008 post-election violence (PEV).
Kinoti said that the surprise U-trun was made after some survivors of the Kiamba Church that was torched during the skirmishes indicated that they were ready to testify.
The DCI said that victims had lodged 72 murder cases, 44 land displacement cases, and 118 threats linked to the PEV.
