Marcus Rashford, Daniel James and Bruno Fernandes registered their names on the score sheet as Manchester United crushed stubborn Newcastle United to return to the second spot in the English Premier League.
Rashford lashed in his 18th goal of the season by beating Karl Darlow at the near post after 30 minutes to give the hosts the lead.
French winger, Allan Saint Maximin punished Harry Maguire’s poor clearance 10 minutes later with a tap in, to draw level for Newcastle.
Daniel James restored United’s lead in the 57th minute with a well taken goal, before Rashford was brought down by former Arsenal midfielder Joe Willock in the 18 yard box. Fernandes converted the penalty to seal United’s win.
The win leaves Man United 10 points behind league leaders Manchester City. Newcastle, on the other hand is three points off the relegation zone.
