President Uhuru Kenyatta on Thursday, February 2021 met with government officers in the senior ranks of the executive, to discuss his administration’s priorities.
The meeting brought together Cabinet Secretaries, Chief Administrative Secretaries and Principal Secretaries to, among other matters, deliberate on the status of ongoing National Government programmes covering Big 4 Agenda and Vision 2030 flagship projects.
President Uhuru instructed the Officials to ensure prudent utilisation of public resources in service delivery saying Kenyans must always get the highest value return for their money.
He further urged them to embrace teamwork and unity of purpose so as to deliver the promise of a better and prosperous Kenya for all.
The meeting came just a day after Uhuru made changes to senior ranks of the Executive with new appointments and re-alignments in various ministries.
The changes, Uhuru said, are meant to foster operational efficiency, accelerate the implementation of various ground-breaking reforms, and introduce functional changes that shall make Ministries and State Departments more effective.
Deputy President William Ruto, himself a member of both the Executive and Cabinet, was conspicuously missing from the high-profile meeting.
