Gospel artist, Kambua, is mourning the death of her second-born son days after his birth.

Kambua shared the sad news on her social media, explaining how her second-born son succumbed to birth related complications, despite efforts to save him by a team of dedicated doctors and nurses.

“What a privilege it has been carrying a life yet again. My little baby boy Malachi made a grand entrance into the world a few days ago. He was everything we hoped for, and more, much more. Perfect in every way. Malachi knew how much he was loved, and so he did all he could to stay with us. With the help of a most dedicated team of doctors & nurses, our little baby fought, until Jesus healed him by taking him to Himself. Malachi is now free from pain, and any worldy care,” read part of Kambua’s post on Instagram.

Kambua prayed to God to give her family strength and hope to navigate through the hard days ahead.

“Malachi Manundu Muthiga Mathu. You were deeply loved, and will forever be remembered. Your Father, your mommy, and your brother Nathaniel will carry you in our hearts always πŸ’›πŸ’›πŸ’›,” she added as she mourned her son.

She said that they needed some time as a family so as to process all that has happened. She also thanked the people who were calling and writing encouraging messages to them, saying that she will respond in due time.

Kambua, who is also a media personality, and her husband, Pastor Jackson Mathu, welcomed their first child, Nathaniel Muhoro Mathu, in 2019. This was after close to seven years of struggling to conceive.
