Judy Wanjiku, the 25-year-old Equity Bank employee who died after being shoved out of a moving Matatu last week has been buried.
Wanjiku was laid to rest yesterday at Githambo village, Kiharu constituency, Muranga County.
She died on Sunday morning after suffering head injuries at the hands of an unruly Matatu crew, following a disagreement over fare.
The incident reportedly happened in Juja, Kiambu County. Police have since seized the vehicle Wanjiku is said to have been travelling in. It is being detained at Wanguru Police station in Mwea.
Following the incident, the National Transport and Safety Authority revoked the operational licenses of Memba Sacco, to which the offending vehicle belonged.
Police have intensified the search for the Matatu tout and driver allegedly involved in Wanjiku’s killing.
During the burial, Wanjiku was eulogised as God- fearing lady, friendly and humble.
