Two people have been killed and another one is critically injured after a Toyota saloon car they were travelling with was involved in an accident in Eldoret.
The car which had three occupants rammed into a tractor ferrying poles that had stalled at Maili Tisa interchange on the Eldoret-Webuye Highway at around 5 am Monday.
Confirming the accident, Eldoret West OCPD Edward Masibo said that the driver and a passenger seated at the from seat died on the spot.
The third occupant in the car was rushed to Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital in Eldoret with serious injuries.
Police have launched a man-hunt for the driver of the tractor who escaped after the accident.
The ill-fated tractor and the car were towed to Jua Kali police station.
The bodies of the deceased were taken to Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital mortuary.
