Police in Ol Kalou, Nyandarua County, have launched investigations into an incident where a security guard collapsed and died in a lodging on Sunday.
According to a police report filed at Ol Kalou Police Station, 58-year-old Stephen Githaka Muriithi was found in a room at Heshima Lodge breathing heavily.
Edith Wairimu, an employee at the lodge, says that she went to the said room on Sunday morning to clean the room, only to find the deceased in the bad state.
Wairimu immediately raised alarm, police came to the scene and organised for an ambulance to take Muriithi to hospital.
Muriithi was rushed to JM Kariuki Hospital, unfortunately, he was pronounced dead shortly thereafter.
Doctors who were working to save Muriithi’s life say they found a condom on the deceased genitalia.
The body is lying at the hospital’s morgue, awaiting autopsy to ascertain what really killed Muriithi.
