Detectives in Bungoma have launched investigations into the suspected murder of a woman who was found dead inside a locked house on Sunday evening.
39-year-old Sarah Kimarong was found dead behind locked doors of her rental house in Cheptais area.
Kimarong’s brother had tried to reach her on phone on several times but was not successful. This prompted him to visit her house, only to find out that it was locked with a padlock.
The sleuths who acted on the report broke into the house and found her lifeless body lying undressed in a pool of blood.
The body also had signs of strangulation and knee injuries.
Upon her death, Kimarong was working at the deputy county commissioner’s offices.
The DCI is now appealing to Kenyans who may have information that may assist in the arrest of the perpetrator(s) to share with the agency “by dialing our toll-free hotline number 0800 722 203.”
