A 28-year-old man has stabbed his mother-in-law, killing her instantly.
Stephen Marigi’s oft disagreements with his estranged wife boiled over yesterday, leading to the murder at Kapsita village, Elburgon. The victim was 55.
According to Alex Gichane, area chief, Marigi visited her inlaws yesterday evening, reportedly to pick his wife. He was wielding a knife.
His wife spotted the knife and raised an alarm. When the woman’s mother responded to the distress call, she came face-to-face with the suspect who stabbed her repeatedly.
The victim’s two brothers-in-law were also attacked upon stumbling on the melee. They are admitted at Elburgon sub-county Hospital.
Marigi was arrested and is being held at the Kapsita Police Station.
