Unknown people have splattered black paint over the newly-established United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party office in Kabartonjo, Baringo County.
Party supporters on Tuesday woke up to the unpleasant surprise as they found parts of the Baringo North office painted black.
The black paint had concealed the UDA’s name and logo on the two days old office.
The incident is suspected to have been carried out by angry youth who had previously shown their displeasure over the opening of the offices in the region.
Locals are now wondering how the act was orchestrated during curfew hours, yet the police imposing the same curfew did not notice the perpetrators.
‘Hustler Nation’ is planning to open UDA offices in all major towns in the country, with political commentators insinuating that this might be Deputy President William Ruto’s 2022 vehicle.
Baringo team hustler chairperson Almeida Ayabei says that the point was applied by their political opponents, maintaining that ‘hustler movement’ will not be intimidated.
“I suspect our opponents did it and I dare them to come out and do it during the day,” Almeida said.
Baringo is the first county in the country where the DP Ruto-allied party offices have been opened other than the headquarters in Nairobi.
