Police in Murang’a have launched a manhunt for a man who is accused of killing his brother on Sunday evening.
26-year-old Christopher Mburu Wakahiu is accused of killing his elder brother at a construction site in Jerusalem area following a quarrel.
According to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), the victim was a businessman in Nairobi.
He had visited his parents at Gaturi village over the weekend. On his way back, he decided to pass by the construction site to check on the progress of a structure he was raising.
While at the site, he was joined by the suspect, whom he had employed as a caretaker. The two are said to have engaged in a quarrel over an unestablished issue,” says the DCI.
Wakahiu reportedly drew a knife and stabbed his brother into the left side of the chest, killing him instantly.
“Manhunt for Wakahiu who fled after the heinous act has been launched by Murang’a-based detectives,” adds DCI.
