A 17-year-old student from an undisclosed school in Kwale County has been arrested for being in possession of a knife.
The school’s head teacher Salah Yare reported to DCI detectives that he has spotted several of his students sneak with knives into a classroom.
“Detectives and our police counterparts moved in swiftly and conducted a thorough search leading to the discovery of the knife,” said the DCI in an announcement made through social media.
“The teenager has since been placed in custody, in strict conformity to the law and will be presented before court for preparation to commit a felony.”

Two days ago, a student at Kisii High School allegedly stabbed two teachers with knife after he was questioned for coming late to school.
