The Form Three student who is accused of attacking his two teachers with a knife has pleaded not guilty to attempted murder charges.
Appearing before Senior Resident Magistrate Stephen Njoro of Kisii Law Court on Wednesday, Isaya Flora denied the charges and was released on a KSh50,000 cash bail or KSh100,000 bond.
He will be remanded at Manga Juvenile Home awaiting the case to be mentioned on January 21, 2021.
Kisii High School principal, Maurice Ogutu, said the Form Three student attacked the teachers on Tuesday after they summoned him when he reported late to class.
Edwin Mokaya, one of the teachers sustained deep injuries in the forehead, left shoulder, left side of the abdomen, and left leg.
The second teacher, Elvis Maoto, is reported to have sustained injuries on the cheek and wrist as he tried to intervene to save his colleague from the attack.
The two were rushed to Ram Hospital where they are recuperating as police launch investigations into the matter.
