Several passengers have been injured after a bus they were traveling in was involved in an accident at Timboroa on the Eldoret-Nairobi highway.
Eyewitnesses say the driver of the Nairobi-bound bus was speeding when he lost control of the vehicle, rolling twice before landing in a ditch.
The Tuesday morning accident has left at least 40 passengers injured and are currently receiving treatment at various hospitals around the area, Mercy Mission Hospital in Eldama Ravine being one of them.

Koibatek Police Commander Maxwell Agoro told Citizen TV that 26 people sustained serious injuries while 17 had slight bruises.
Agoro said that the driver and turn boy of the PSV fled from the scene of the accident.
