The Ministry of Health has announced 64 new coronavirus cases from a sample size of 1,52 samples tested in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 96,678.
The cumulative number of samples tested in the country so far now stands at 1,052,836.
From the cases 59 are Kenyans while five are foreigners; 35 are male while 29 are female.The youngest is a six-year-old while the oldest is 81.
According to the Ministry of Health 4 more patients have succumbed to the virus in the last 24 hours bringing the cumulative fatalities to 1,685.

Distribution of cases by counties include; Nairobi 34, Kisii 5, Laikipia 5, Meru 3, Machakos 3, Mombasa 2, Busia 2, Taita Taveta 2, Kiambu1, Embu 1, Kajiado1, Kilifi 1, Nakuru 1, Nyandarua 1, Siaya 1, and Uasin Gishu 1.
Health CS Mutahi Kagwe announced that 55 patients have recovered from the virus, 41 are from the home-based care, while 14 are from the various hospitals bringing the total number of recoveries to 79,012.
