Health CS Mutahi Kagwe has announced 356 more people who have tested positive for coronavirus, from 5,768 samples tested in the last 24 hours. The country’s caseload is now 93,761.
Eleven more patients have succumbed to the disease, bringing the total fatalities to 1,629.
CS Kagwe has also condoled the family of the late Nyamira Governor John Nyagarama who succumbed to COVID-19 complications this morning.

According to the Ministry of Health 852 patients are currently admitted to various hospitals across the country. Forty nine are intensive care while 39 are on supplementary oxygen.

Kagwe was speaking in Murang’a County today, where he urded striking health workers to resume duty. “I urge you to resume work to avoid losing your job. Please do not be another statistic that will be a job seeker next year,” he said.
