Machakos Senator Boniface Kabaka is dead.
Kabaka died at the Nairobi Hospital where he was receiving treatment.
According to Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua, the senator succumbed to the effects of a stroke arising from blood clot. Mutua says, “the condition has been bothering him for while.”
Senator KabakaΒ was on Friday, December 4 admitted at the hospitalβs Intensive Care Unit (ICU)Β after suddenly falling sick while at an apartment in Kilimani.
According to a report filed at Kilimani Police Station, the senator had checked in at the apartment along Elgeyo Marakwet Road within Kilimani area on Thursday afternoon, in the company of Esther Muli Nthenya.
Esther, a secondary school teacher, was on Wednesday freed after tests on the senatorβs blood showed that there was no poisoning.
Governor Mutua: “On behalf of myself and the people of Machakos, I pass my condolence to the family of our beloved Senator Boniface Kabaka who has gone to be with the Lord due to the effects of a stroke arising from a blood clot that has been bothering him for a while.”
