Czech manager Tomas Trucha has been appointed head coach of Malaysian club FC Penang just hours after ditching Kenyan giants AFC Leopards.
The Malaysian Premier League club broke the news on social media much to the surprise of Kenyan football fans.
โOFFICIAL! Tomas Trucha is Penang FCโs new head coach for 2021!,โ read one of FC Penangโs tweets on Friday morning.
The 49-year old who only oversaw one game at Ingwe, their 2-1 win over Tusker in the season opener on Saturday, quit the 1998 Kenyan Premier League champions after his agent Prince Kofi Channis received threats over his life from a section of AFC Leopards fans.

Sources indicate that the threats to Trucha and his agent emanated from player fielding disagreements, with all interventions to have the former Township Rollers tactician to stay proving futile.
AFC Leopards chairman Dan Shikanda has issued a warning to a section of fans he terms โrebelsโ behind the murky times at the den.
