Kabuchai Member of Parliament James Lusweti is dead.

The Ford Kenya lawmaker died at the Nairobi Hospital after a long battle with unknown illness.

The second-term MP was a former councilor of Chwele Ward and at one point he served as the chairperson of Bungoma County Council.

On April 16, 2020, Lusweti had to be airlifted to Nairobi Hospital for specialised treatment after his condition worsened.

In an interview with a local media outfit in April, Lusweti said that he had a severe case of gout with a swelling starting from his tow and all the way up to the knee.
