President Uhuru Kenyatta and his handshake partner Raila Odinga have launched the collection of signatures for the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) process.
In the event that was held at KICC, attendees were strictly following the Ministry of Health guidelines to curb the spread of Coronavirus. They were all wearing face masks, the seats were arranged in a manner to allow for social distancing.
BBI steering committee co-chair Dennis Waweru started the event with different political leaders digitally appending their signatures in support of a BBI referendum.
They included but not limited to Isaac Ruto (CCM leader), Moses Wetangula, Alfred Mutua, Charity Ngilu, Hassan Joho, Wafula Wamunyinyi, Gideon Moi, Farah Maalim, Francis Atwoli, Musalia Mudavadi, Wycliffe Oparanya.
However, Deputy President William Ruto was conspicuously missing at the launch.
