Nakuru County Assembly is in mourning yet again, after London Ward MCA Samuel Mbugua died on Wednesday, November 18 night.
Mbugua succumbed to suspected COVID-19 at the Nakuru War Memorial Hospital where he has been receiving treatment.
His death comes barely a fortnight after another MCA died of COVID-19.
Hell’s Gate MCA John Njuguna, who was popularly known as Wa-Sussy, succumbed to the virus while undergoing treatment at Nakuru Nursing Home on November 9.
Reports say the MCA drove himself to the hospital on Tuesday and he was diagnosed with liver and pancreas malfunction afterward he developed breathing problems. He had earlier sought treatment at a Nakuru Private Hospital.
Nakuru County Assembly Minority Leader Peter Palanga has disputed claims that the MCA died of COVID-19, saying that he died of a disorder of the pancreas
The MCA will be remembered for serving as the Vice-Chairman of Energy, Environment and Natural Resources Committee in the Assembly.
