The rivalry between leading US presidential candidates is getting nastier as poll day, November 3, nears.
From “will you shut up man…this is so un-presidential” to “This is the same fellow who told you this [COVID-19] is going to end by Easter last time”, from “I don’t know if we’re going to have a dark winter… We’re opening up our country. We’ve learned and studied and understand the disease,” to “He says … we’re learning to live with it. People are learning to die with it.”
Texas state legislator Sheryl Cole cancelled a joint event with the Democratic Party candidate Joe Biden campaign bus on Saturday, October 31, accusing a pro-Trump convoy of cars and trucks of targeting Biden campaign bus.
In what she says was for security reasons, Cole cites Travis County Democratic Party Chair Katie Naranjo who alleged that the Republican candidate Donald Trump (Incumbent) supporters followed the Biden campaign trail throughout Texas. At some point, Naranjo says, the Trump supporters ran into a person’s car while yelling curse words and threats.
“This is a 1st for me – but we just cancelled a joint event in Pflugerville w/ @JoeBiden campaign, @AustinYoungDems, & more, due to security reasons. Unfortunately, Pro-Trump Protestors have escalated well beyond safe limits. Sorry to all who looked forward to this fun event,” said Sheryl Cole.
Texas House of Representatives, representing District 103 Raphael Anchía said that the armed Trump trolls also rammed volunteer vehicles and blocked traffic for over 40 minutes.
I LOVE TEXAS
Republican candidate Donald Trump later tweeted “I LOVE TEXAS”, along with a video of pickup trucks with pro-Trump flags following Biden-Harris campaign bus on a busy highway.
With 48 hours remaining for Americans to go to the poll, the two candidates are doing everything to endear themselves to their supporters and attract new supporters.
