Four people have died on the spot in Timboroa after a Toyota Probox vehicle they were travelling with was involved in an accident.
The early Saturday morning accident occurred after the Probox collided head-on with a Toyota Prado at Kahoya area. Both vehicles were heading towards the Nakuru direction.
According to eye witnesses, the Toyota Prado was trying to overtake the Probox, but veered off its lane because of an oncoming vehicle.
The bodies of the deceased have been removed to Eldama Ravine Sub-county Hospital morgue.
The Nairobi-Eldoret Highway especially at the Mau Summit stretch is a known black spot. The section of the road has become synonymous with fatal accidents.
The National Government has already started the process of dualing this section of the road, in a bid to curb the road accidents.
