President Uhuru Kenyatta on Sunday, September 20 evening made an impromptu visit at the Mama Ngina Waterfront Park in Mombasa, to the surprise of vendors.
The Head of State interacted with the visibly surprised vendors who were going on with their economic activities.
He is seen conversing with a lady who is selling cowry shells, in what seems to be the first in command trying to bargain the prices.
Uhuru assured the traders that his administration is keen to ensure normal business at the refurbished park is restored following the slow down caused by the global COVID-19 health crisis.
Over the weekend, President Uhuru extensively toured national government development projects in Mombasa County.
Some of the projects he inspected include; construction of Sh1.9 billion Likoni pedestrian floating bridge, Liwatoni Fishing Complex, the Kipevu Oil Terminus, and Mtongwe Kenya Navy Base where an ultra-modern slipway and shipyard is been developed.
