Kenya has recorded 152 new COVID-19 cases from the 2,224 samples. Total confirmed cases in the country have now risen to 36,981.
From the new cases, 135 are Kenyans while 13 are foreigners. 84 are males and 68 are females. The youngest is a three-year-old child while the oldest is 89 years old.
Distribution of cases by counties is as follows; Nairobi 34, Mombasa 24, Kisii 20, Kiambu and Kisumu has recorde 19 cases each, Nakuru 10, Turkana, 8 Kajiado 3, Kakamega, Meru and Embu 2 cases each, Kericho, Marsabit, Nyamira, Samburu, Siaya, Uasin Gishu, TaitaTaveta, Machakos and Murang’a has recorded 1 case each.
110 patients have recovered from the disease, 39 from the Home Bases Carre from and 71 have been discharged from various health care facilities in the country. The total number of recoveries in the country now stands at 23,887.
2 patients have succumbed to the disease bringing the total number of deaths to 648.
