Kenya has recorded 105 new COVID-19 cases from the 2,868 samples that were tested in the last 24 hours. The total confirmed cases in the country have now risen to 36,829.
According to the Ministry of Health, all the new cases were Kenyans except two who were foreign nationals. The males constitute 83 of today’s cases while 22 are females.
Today, the youngest patient is a two-year-old child while the oldest is 95 years.
The cases are distributed in the counties as follows; Nairobi-33, Busia-15, Mombasa-9, Bungoma-8, Kiambu-4, Nakuru-4, Bomet-4, Garissa-4, Taita Taveta-4, Kajiado-3, Kakamega-3, Kisumu-3, Machakos-2, Meru-2, Kitui-2, Trans Nzoia-2, Murang’a-1, Nyeri-1, Laikipia-1.
68 patients have recovered from the disease. 38 were from the Home-Based Care program while 30 were discharged from various hospitals. Total COVID-19 recoveries have now risen to 23,777.
No deaths have been reported today. The death toll still remains 646.
