Kapsaret MP Oscar Sudi will have to stay for seven more days in custody after the Nakuru Court allowed police to detain him to give more time to conclude their investigations.
Prosecution had applied to have Sudi detained for 14 more days, an application the court reduced to seven days.
Despite pressure from different quarters, Sudi who has been charged with hate speech, offensive conduct, resisting arrest, unlawful possession of firearm and assault of police officer, has maintained that he will not apologise to anyone because.
As far as he is concerned, he did not insult anyone when he made remarks against the person of President Uhuru Kenyatta and former First Lady Mama Ngina Kenyatta.
