COVID-19: 296 people have recovered from COVID-19 as 188 more test positive.

Kenya has recorded 188 positive cases, 296 recoveries and 3 deaths


Kenya has recorded 188 coronavirus cases from a sample of 3,092 tested in the last 24 hours bringing the total number of cases in the country to 36,157. The cumulative number of samples tested so far stands 497,652.

From the cases, 183 are Kenyans while 5 are foreigners, 149 are males and 39 are females. The youngest is a two-year-old child while the oldest is 78.

The cases are distributed in the 47 counties as follows; Mombasa 43, Turkana 29, Trans Nzoia 27, Nairobi 23, Kiambu 10, Nakuru 7, Kajiado 7, Uasin Gishu 5, Kilifi 5, Embu 5, Kisumu, Kericho and Taita Taveta 4 cases each, Kitui, Nyeri, Laikipia and Meru 2 cases each, Narok, Machakos, Lamu, Samburu, Tharaka Nithi, Garissa and Kakamega 1 case each.

296 people have recovered from the disease bringing the total number of recoveries to 23,067, 28 from the Home Based Care Program, and 268 have been discharged from various hospitals in the country.

On a sad note, 3 patients have succumbed tot he disease bringing the total number of deaths to 622.
