395 patients recover from COVID-19


Kenya today records 190 people who have tested positive for COVID-19 from 4,609 samples tested in the last 24 hours.

The total number of confirmed positive cases in the country stands at 35,793.The total cumulative number of tests now stands at 490,445.

Out of the 190 cases,182 are Kenyans while 8 are foreigners and 136 are males while 54 are females. The youngest is a one-year-old infant, while the oldest is 85-year-old.

395 people have recovered from the disease today,116 are from home-based care program while 279 were discharged from various hospitals.

Total recoveries now stand at 22,442.

County distribution:Nairobi leads with 65,Kitui 27,Mombasa 16,Uasin Gishu 13,Embu 10,Kisii 9,Garissa 6,Kajiado 6,Kiambu 6, Machakos 4,Nakuru 4,Meru 4,Kericho 4,Narok 4,Kisumu 2,Trans Nzoia 2,Bomet 2,Busia2, Muran’ga 1,Bungoma 1,Kakamega 1 and Kilifi 1.

Unfortunately, 4 patients have succumbed to the disease bringing the total number of fatalities to 616.
