The two suspects have since been transferred to Nairobi, after the killings sparked demonstration by residents who wanted to lynch them.

According to the ODPP, transferring the suspects to Nairobi was for their security and also to prevent them from interfering with investigations.

Reports say that Adan A. Madhobe and Muhidin A. H were killed by police officers who had been searching for terror suspects.
