The four suspects who were arrested in connection to a robbery incident captured on CCTV camera in Kilimani were on Friday, July 3 arraigned at Milimani Law Courts.
The four were charged with robbery with violence, but one Ibrahim Abdi Hussein who was found in possession of the laptop and mobile phones robbed from the victim was arraigned with an additional charge of handling stolen property.
The suspects pleaded not guilty to the charges and will be detained until July 8 when they will know their bail application fate.
DCI detectives based at Kilimani tracked down the four suspects from their hideouts in Kawangware, Gatina and Pangani areas on June 29.
“They are; 27-year-old Timothy Jahan Muzami alias ‘Timo’ captured on camera hitting the victim with a firearm on the forehead, Humphrey Minyata alias “Daddy” aged 23 years captured on camera pointing the victim with a sharp knife, Mary Wambui aged 23 years believed to be an accomplice who was harboring the gang in her house at Pangani and Ali Musa alias ‘Ally’ aged 26 years who was arrested during the operation and believed to be an associate of the gang,” tweeted the DCI.
This was after the DCI launched a probe into the incident that happened on June 25 after two men were captured robbing a man of his belongings along Lenana Road.
In the video, two men wearing hood jackets abruptly approach a man in broad daylight, before threatening him, one with a gun and another with a penknife, as they grabbed his bag. They then take his wallet from one of his pockets.
