Starehe MP Charles Njagua Kanyi, popularly known as Jaguar, was on Monday, June 29 arrested for allegedly inciting traders to forcibly occupy stalls at the Mwariro Market.
According to the lawmaker, reasons for his arrest are still unclear but he suspects they are connected to the controversial Mwariro Market.
“The charges against me are unclear though they seem connected to Mwariro Market. I’ll keep fighting for my constituents. Being a leader is tough but my resolve remains unshaken. Allocations at Mwariro Market have to be fair,” tweeted MP Njagua.
Njagua is currently being held at the Nairobi Area Police station.
