Kenya has recorded 152 new COVID-19 cases out of the 3,503 tested samples in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 3,457.
All the positive cases are Kenyans, with 116 being males while 36 are females.
In today’s cases, the youngest patient is a 2-year-old while the oldest is a 65-year-old.
The cumulative number of tested samples in since the first COVID-19 case now stands at 112,171.
The cases are distributed in the counties as follows; Nairobi (70), Mombasa (41), Busia (16), Kiambu (9), Kajiado (4), Machakos and Migori have three cases each, Kisumu (2) as Taita Taveta, Narok, Nakuru and Uasin Gishu had one case each.
The cases in Mombasa are from; Nyali-14, Mvita-10, Likoni-7, Kisauni-6 and Changamwe-4. The case in Taita Taveta is from Voi.
All the 16 cases from Busia are of truck drivers who were tested last the Malaba point of entry.
In Kiambu, the cases are in; Ruiru-6, Thika-2 and Kikuyu-1.the four cases from Kajiado are from Kajiado Central-2 and Loitoktok-2.
The cases in Machakos are from Athi River-2 and Meal-1 as the three from Migori are from Suna West-2 and sun East-1. The cases in Kisumu are from Kisumu Central-1 and Kisumu East-1. The case in Uasin Gishu is of a truck driver at Turbo.
57 patients have also been discharged from various hospitals across the country, bringing the total number of COVID-19 recoveries in the country to 1,221.
Four patients have succumbed to the virus, raising the total fatalities due to COVID-19 to 100.
