Kenya has recorded 123 new COVID-19 cases out of the 2,112 tested samples in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 2,216.
90 of the new cases are males while 33 are females. The youngest of the new COVID-19 cases is an 8-year-old while the oldest is an 84-year-old.
The new cases are spread as follows; Nairobi has 44 cases, Mombasa has 34 cases, Busia has 20 cases, Uasin Gishu has 12 cases, Kiambu, Nyeri and Kajiado have three cases, Kilifi has two cases, while Garissa and Laikipia have one case each.
Kenya has also recorded the highest number of daily COVID-19 recoveries since her first case, after 54 patients were discharged from various parts of the country. The total recoveries from the disease now rises to 553.
Unfortunately, three patients succumbed to the disease over the same period of time, bringing the total number of deaths due to COVID-19 in the country to 74.
