Controversial politician Moses Kuria has said it is time for the Mt Kenya region to start putting plans in place on how the 2022 succession will be.
The Gatundu South MP said he will organise a retreat for Mt Kenya region leaders so that they can give ideas for the future and reflect on their political journey.
Kuria said having an early discussion on what happens in 2022 will give them an opportunity to bargain for powerful positions.
“In 2022, we should not vote in leaders who are focused about political talks but those who have clear development agendas,” said Kuria.
Kuria also spoke about Ekuru Aukot’s Punguza Mizigo Bill, saying it cannot work as constituencies are not evenly populated.
The lawmaker said reducing the number of members of parliament is unacceptable.
