Arsenal is now confident of signing Nicolas Pepe from Lille after the two clubs agreed on a Sh9.1 billion transfer fee for the Ivory Coast winger.
Pepe, who is in London, is set to undergo a medical check-up at the Emirates in the course of the week.
The player is expected to sign a five-year contract with the Gunners, who have already signed three players.
The English club is also in talks with Celtic to sign Kieran Tierney, aiming to strengthen their defence before the start of the new season.
The arrival of Pepe will boost the attacking force of arsenal, who already have Alexander Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
