A Philadelphia man identified as Jermaine managed to scale up a 19 storey building on fire to get to his bed-ridden mother who was trapped in the 15th floor.
The man said he got a harrowing call from his sister who informed him that his mother’s apartment building was on fire and she could not leave as she is bed-ridden.
He then rushed to the location and started to climb up the building using balconies as the elevators are said to have stalled. He left bystanders jaw-open after he managed to get to the 15th floor is less than three minutes.
“All for my mom’s safety, period. I wasn’t worried about mine at all. She can’t get out of the bed or walk around so if there’s a fire she needs help out,” he said.
He was relieved after he made it to his mother’s apartment and confirmed that she was okay.
