The Kenya Tourism Board’s travel and tourism guide, Magical Kenya, was one of the sponsors of Lion King’s London premiere.
As a result, the ‘ Magical Kenya’ logo was on the backdrop of almost every photo taken during the London premiere of the Lion King movie on Sunday.
According to National Geographic, the creators of the film were inspired by Kenya’s landscapes at the Great Rift Valley. Specifically, Hell’s Gate National Park.
Produced by Walt Disney Studios, Lion King is a remake of the one produced in 1994.
The animation film features Donald Glover as Simba, Beyoncé Knowles-Carter as Nala, James Earl Jones as Mufasa, Chiwetel Ejiofor as Scar, Seth Rogen as Pumbaa and Billy Eichner as Timon.
According to Kenyabuzz, Lion King will premiere on July 18, 2019 at Prestige Cinemas, Westgate Cinema, Anga-IMAX Kenya – 20th century, Anga Diamond Plaza, Garden City – Century IMAX and Anga Sky Cinema.
