The skin is the largest organ of our body, which perhaps makes it require much more care than the rest of our body.
The skin is also the most exposed to the environment which can be dirty and dusty, making it easier to get rashes and infections.
There are bad habits which also contribute to skin infections that we engage in daily but need to avoid. They are:
Picking out your breakouts: Pimples and zits have this weird habit of popping up when we have a date or an important meeting. This usually tempts us to break or pop the pimple. However, it is not advisable to do so as it will spread the infection, making the breakout worse and when you heal it will leave your face with scars.
Avoiding to change your pillowcase: The pillowcase gets much of the hair oil and sweat during the night hours. This makes it accumulate dirt and cause pimples or breakouts on your cheek. One can use a silk pillowcase which does not absorb oil or wash the case once a week.
Frequently touching your face: We touch so many dirty things during the day such as door handles and office laptops which transfer germs to our hands. When we constantly touch our face, we pass on the germs which cause pimples and infections. The more we touch our faces the more bacteria we spread, leading to intense breakouts.
Failure to wash your face at night: Some days are just so long that all we want to do is get in bed immediately we reach home. However, the first thing we should do is wash our faces to remove the day’s dirt. If we apply makeup then we should make use of wipes, moisturizers, and cleansers to clean the face.
