The National Transport and Safety Authority NTSA has canceled the driving license of the driver and the conductor’s operating badge following the death of Florence Wanjiru.
The tout identified as John Ndwai Maimbu of Killeton Sacco matatu, registration number KCC 086U is alleged to have pushed 28-year-old Florence from the moving vehicle on Friday, July 6.
In addition to this action, NTSA has subjected all 114 vehicles owned by the Sacco to compliance inspection which is set to asses their roadworthiness as the driver and conductor undergo road safety and customer care training.
Both the driver and conductor were arraigned in court and have been remanded in police custody.
Florence Wanjiru is alleged to have been hit by a metal rod on the head and pushed out of the moving vehicle in Kileleshwa.
A good Samaritan then rushed her Kenyatta National Hospital where she succumbed to the injuries.
