Liverpool forward Divock Origi has signed a new long-term contract that will bind him to the Merseyside club.
Origi, who is the son of former Kenyan footballer Mike Origi, expressed his joy on signing the new contract, saying he always wanted to stay at the club and extend his deal.
“I always felt comfortable here. I made steps during my career, I say that I became a man here at this club, I signed when I was 19, ” said Origi.
He moved to Liverpool Football Club from Lille in France in 2014 and has made 98 appearances, scoring 28 goals for one of the most successful clubs in English Premier League history.
Origi scored the much-hyped goal in the UEFA Champions League finals match against Tottenham Hotspurs, helping the Reds to walk away with the most coveted cup in European football history.
