Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria is now criticizing the ongoing talks on social media about who is fit to replace the late ex-CEO Bob Collymore.
On his Twitter page, Kuria mentioned a local media house, accusing them of being reckless. The lawmaker asked the public to stop fueling replacement talks instead of giving Kenyans a time to mourn.
“It is extremely callous for people to start jostling to replace Bob Collymore and reckless media like Citizen Digital fuelling the same. Give us time to mourn,” said Kuria.
One Twitter user seemed to concur with Kuria, saying Safaricom could not even wait for the dust to settle down before replacing him.
Safaricom CEO battle
The Safaricom board on Tuesday appointed Michael Joseph as interim CEO. The former Safaricom CEO is a board member of Safaricom.
However, most netizens are complaining about this appointment while saying Safaricom Sylvia Mulinge is more fit and deserving of the job.
Mulinge is currently the Chief Customer Officer of Safaricom.
