Senegalese footballer Krepin Diatta who is currently in Egypt for the 2019 AFCON has reacted to trolls who poked fun at his physical appearance.
Diatta has been at the receiving end of jokes after a Twitter user called him a ‘frog’.
A section of users came to his defense, slamming the model who insulted Diatta.
Some went to the extent of terming him and his Caucasian wife as ‘Beauty and the Beast’.
The 20 year old first came into the limelight after his superb goal against Tanzania in Senegal’s opening match last week on Sunday.
In a statement, Diatta expressed his displeasure with the trolls, stating that his appearance should not be a topic of discussion.
Diatta made 28 appearances in the 2018/19 season, scoring 2 goals and setting up 5 more.
His goal against Tanzania was his first ever international goal for Senegal.
