Kiambu Senator Kimani Wamatangi Tuesday said the letter accusing four cabinet secretaries of planning to kill Deputy President William Ruto was meant to cause divisions in the country.
He cast doubt on the credibility of the accusations asking why the letter to the Director of Criminal Investigations (DCI) was written by a mysterious cabinet secretary.
“We have sunk so low to take solace in such accusations,” he said while calling for thorough investigations into the accusations.
He was speaking on amlive show hosted by NTV’s Dibal Inea.
On the same show, Gatundu North MP said “our people are crying for lack of development,” and that is why the four ministers were meeting.
Former Gem MP Jakoyo Midiwo, however, questioned why the four cabinet ministers were meeting Hotel La Mada to plan development given the hotel is not a government premise. Midiwo said the last thing we want to see is a political assassination.
