Jubilee Secretary General Raphael Tuju has disowned the leaked audio tape going viral on social media of him and former Limuru MP George Nyanja allegedly plotting to fix Deputy President William.
A Twitter post by K24 stated that Tuju distanced himself from the clip.
In the tape, a man alleged to be Tuju and the other one alleged to be Nyanja are heard poking fun at Ruto’s charitable act of contributing money to churches.
The two men further accuse Ruto of being behind the burning of a church in Eldoret during the 2007/2008 post-election violence.
They wonder why Ruto has not bothered to rebuild the burnt church seeing as he has been distributing money to other churches.
If the audio turns out to be indeed Tuju and Nyanja, the rift in Jubilee might widen even further.
As it stands, the house is split into two, Tangatanga and Kieleweke.
Last week, President Kenyatta lashed out at Mt. Kenya leaders who have been part of Ruto’s entourage campaigning for 2022.
The whole incident placed Jubilee in disarray even as Ruto continues touring various parts of the country.
