Treasury Cabinet Secretary Henry Rotich has said he is planning to introduce a new income tax that will increase revenue.
The CS said some high-income earners are not well taxed even as others as exempted from taxes.
“We have to review such cases using the law so as to broaden the tax bracket,” Rotich told reports outside Parliament on Thursday.

The Income Tax Bill 2018 shows that Kenyans earning more than Sh9 billion a year will have 35% tax deduction.
Those earning Sh564,709 to Sh9 million will be subjected to a 30% tax deduction.
However, the Kenya Revenue Authority shows that 10% will be deducted from the first Sh147,580 while the next 15% will be deducted Sh139,043.
