Kenya is on high alert after one case of Ebola was reported in neighbouring Uganda’s Kasese district.
The case was reported in a 5-year-old boy who travelled back home to Uganda after visiting the Democratic Republic of Congo.
World Health Organization Uganda sent the child into immediate quarantine and are currently treating him.
Following the outbreak, the ministry of health Uganda has rolled out a programme to vaccinate people against Ebola starting Friday, June 14.
There has been a deadly outbreak in DRC with more than 2,000 cases recorded in less than one year.
Kenya will now have to undertake screening at the border with Uganda to ensure the disease does not cross into the country.
