NTSA warns against using City Travelers Sacco buses

National Transport and Safety Authority  (NTSA) has directed all members of the public to avoid boarding City Travellers Sacco after revoking its licence.

According to a press statement released by NTSA , City Travelers Sacco that operates between railways bus station, Kawangaware, Riruta satellite and  Dagoreti market failed to comply with section 5 (1) of NTSA operation of PSV regulation 2014.

Section 5 (1) of the Act provides conditions that need to be met by a PSV applicant. The conditions include placing a code of conduct, having a documented management system, safety management system, compliance with labor laws and regulations.

The staff requirement should also be met with having drivers for each vehicle, office manager, accounts clerk, qualified mechanic and an inspector for each route.

 NTSA has also invalidated road service license for all vehicles belonging to the sacco.

Drivers and conductors have been released from NTSA PSV System to enable them join other compliant saccos.

The traffic department has also been instructed to impound any vehicle belonging to the Sacco that will be found operating.
