Eight hundred metres Olympic Champion Caster Semenya is now free to participate in all races without the use of hormone suppressants.
This is after the Swiss Federal Supreme Court temporarily suspended IAAF’s ruling which required her to take the medication to lower her naturally elevated testesterone before participating in any races.
The IAAF has until June 25, 2019 to state why its regulations should continue standing. After which, they will make another ruling.
This is the second appeal that Semenya has made after the first one failed to go through.
