A netizen by the user name Njuguna Nyenjeri has faced the wrath of Kenyans after he took to his Twitter handle to accuse Tottenham player Victor Wanyama of “being stingy” with his money.
In the post, Njuguna states that former Chelsea player and Ivory Coast superstar Didier Drogba built a state-of-the-art hospital, further bashing Wanyama who he said cannot spare some money to build classrooms in his hometown.
This hospital has been constructed by Didier Drogba right from the purchase of land. Our Own Victor Wanyama earns 28 million every month but has not constructed a single classroom in his backyard which will cost him a mere 700k. pic.twitter.com/xXtNtTZeuO

Njuguna also brought in the fact that Liverpool and Egyptian star Mohamed Salah is funding the construction of a medical centre and a school for girls in his hometown.
This post rubbed netizens the wrong way with some coming out guns-blazing to defend Wanyama from what they termed a ridiculous accusation.
They called out Njuguna for hypocrisy, questioning why he was quick to demand action from a footballer but not politicians.
Compared to Didier Drogba’s massive wealth worth of $90 million (Sh9.1 billion), Wanyama earns approximately Sh7 million per week, minus the allowances.
While he earns more money than most politicians and CEOs in the country, most Kenyans are of the opinion that Wanyama is entitled to spend his hard earned money the way he deems fit.
I have seen a tweep calling out BoyChild Victor Wanyama for not building hospital like Didier Drogba
I just want to clarify a footballer plays football and the President runs the state. If he voted for Wanyama at the ballot we're very sorry he spoilt his vote. Ujinga itatumaliza pic.twitter.com/ZQdEDeWXm0
